Loans, mortgages and interest
The Loan, Mortgage and Auto Loan calculators all use the standard fixed-rate amortization formula, so the monthly payment stays the same while the split between interest and principal shifts over time. The Mortgage Calculator adds property tax, insurance and HOA dues; the Auto Loan Calculator accounts for trade-in value, sales tax and fees.
For savings, the Interest Calculator shows simple interest, while the Compound Interest Calculator shows how interest earning interest — plus regular contributions — grows a balance over many years.
Everyday money math
The Tip Calculator splits a bill between any number of people, and the Discount Calculator finds the final price after one or two stacked discounts and optional sales tax. All results are estimates for planning; your lender, store or bank determines the exact figures.
